Shield of iron and light that guards me from darkness
As it comes to me in unknown and deformed relentlessness
Sword that is bound with me through honour and might
Lend me your strength to slay my weaknesses at first sight
Yet having a bodily armour does not equate to a heavenly meaning
This has to be sought, as every battle on the ground is to be fought
In the plains of the battlefield where roses are tainted with blood
Of those who took too long to find their courage and are now dead
So lend me strength, behold my conviction
For one is not always let to rest, even if broken to submission
And forward we must go to the world, to proclaim and behold
With steel at hand, and a heart of gold
Until we meet again in the heavens above
